  • New Researchers In Orthopaedic Surgery

The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and the Musculoskeletal Institute is excited to announce the hiring and onboarding of 2 researchers.  Benjamin Sinder, Ph.D and Danielle Rux Ph.D started with Uconn Health in the orthopaedic surgery department this fall.

Ben’s research program centers on studying skeletal disorders that impact patients, developing new treatment strategies for them, and mechanisms of bone growth and bone healing.  Danielle's research centers on studying the fundamental mechanisms that drive synovial joint development and articular cartilage morphogenesis. Her research program will enhance knowledge of cartilage degeneration that results from joint disease/injury such as osteoarthritis and will also inform new treatments and preventative therapies.

We are all very excited to welcome them here and support their future contributions to orthopaedic health.
