Dr. Rodríguez is an Urban Forester committed to promoting communal urban forest management and addressing environmental injustice through the UConn Extension Urban and Community Forestry Program. Her work focuses on improving natural resource management to increase the quality of life of underserved communities.
This presentation offers an opportunity to discuss how urban forestry can play a role in promoting resilient, just and healthy communities. Dr. Rodríguez will also explore the strategies and collaborative approaches that underpin the various initiatives she has co-developed to create positive environmental change and enhance the quality of life for urban residents in Connecticut.
