  • Director of Cash Management and University Bursar

    As a result of a university-wide search, I am pleased to announce that Alyse Lofman-Kwapien has been selected for the permanent role of Director of Cash Management and University Bursar, effective December 1, 2023. Alyse has served in the role on an interim basis since September 2022.

    Prior to her interim appointment, Alyse was the Manager of Cash Operations in the Office of the Bursar responsible for overseeing the daily operations of all incoming departmental and student receipts, and all outgoing student and vendor disbursements. Alyse also managed compliance for State of Connecticut cash, federal Title IV student aid disbursements, the ACH Network (Nacha), and Payment Card Industry (PCI). She responded to all internal and State of CT audit inquiries.

    Alyse earned a BS in Accounting, MPA, and a Certificate in Public and Nonprofit Management from the University of Connecticut. She started her professional career as an Associate Accountant at Kostin, Ruffkess, & Company LLC in Farmington, CT.

    I am thrilled to have Alyse continue using her skills, knowledge, experience, and collegiality as she directs the Office of the Bursar and contributes to university initiatives. Please take a moment to congratulate Alyse on the permanent appointment.
