Newly Named: The Pratt & Whitney Engineering Building
The United Technologies Engineering Building has been renamed to the Pratt & Whitney Engineering Building. The signage is currently being updated to reflect this name change. United Technologies has been sold to Raytheon and, therefore, United Technologies no longer exists. Pratt & Whitney has been one of the strongest supporters for the University of Connecticut College of Engineering and, more specifically, Mechanical Engineering. Pratt is a subsidiary of Raytheon, making it a natural choice for the building renaming. An unveiling/groundbreaking event is currently being scheduled for next semester.
