  • 9/11 World War I Posters: Thursday's Gallery Talk

    GALLERY TALK
    Thursday, September 11, 12:15

"Victory is a Question of Stamina: Posters from the First World War" is the subject of curator Carla Galfano's talk.

As one of the primary and most effective means of communication during World War I, the U.S. government created compelling posters to encourage public participation in the war effort. This exhibition seeks to contextualize such imagery with photographs and artifacts from the period while focusing on the role of women on the home front and the battlefield.
