  • Volunteer at the Haunted HEEP

The UConn Office of Sustainability is hosting our annual Haunted HEEP (Hillside Environmental Education Park) scary trail walk on Wednesday, October 25. Run mostly by student volunteers in addition to our staff and student interns, we'd like to offer the chance to volunteer to UConn's faculty and staff! A little levity is always good at work!

Volunteers are essential to putting on UConn’s premiere Halloween event, attended by over 700 students. You will receive a limited edition Haunted HEEP shirt and pizza.

    • You must be able to be present from ~5pm to 9:30pm on October 25th. Rain date will be October 26.

    • You must attend a pre-event trail walk through to get oriented with the site. A walk through will be hosted on Saturday, October 14 from noon-1pm, or you can do Saturday October 21 from 2-3pm. We can do a week-day version for faculty & staff if there's enough interest too.

    • Sign up by Friday the 13th.

    Jobs include:

    • Welcoming over 700 attendees

    • Leading scare stations (e.g. zombie chase)
