The inaugural Pumpkin Palooza at UConn will take place on October 24, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the Student Union Terrace and Online! (Rain Date: 10/26/23) Our pumpkin-decorating competition is a great time to be had by all!
Pumpkins of any size can be purchased anywhere you wish! Spring Valley Student Farm will be selling pumpkins today at their Farm Fresh Market from 11:30am - 1:30pm on Farifield Way near the Library (https://dining.uconn.edu/farm-fresh-market/)
All faculty and staff can join in on the fun in three ways:
Enter an In-Person Pumpkin: Decorate a pumpkin as a department, team, or individual and drop off your pumpkin creation for all to see. Entries will be accepted from 10 to 11 a.m. on the Student Union Terrace.
Enter a Virtual Pumpkin: Decorate a pumpkin - assistance from friends and family allowed - then submit a photo or video entry. Submissions can be uploaded starting today until 10:30 a.m. day of event.
VOTE: Come to the Student Union Terrace from 11am – 1pm on Tuesday, October 24th for a Pumpkin Palooza Showcase to view and vote on the in-person creations. Then head to the Padlet below to view and vote on the online creations!
