Equity in Action will take place on Oct 5 and 6, 2023 at UConn Hartford Business Center, 100 Constitution Plaza in Hartford, CT. The event is sponsored in part by the HHMI Inclusive Excellence grant. National Academy of Science, Engineering and Medicine Member and Chief Inclusion Officer at Northwestern, Karl Reid, will be presenting the Academy's findings of the consensus study on actionable antiracist mechanisms to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion and facilitating discussions throughout the two days.
This event is an opportunity to connect with real experiences, stories, and challenges facing our faculty and students. Through open conversations and shared learning, we can collaboratively devise strategies to promote inclusivity, equity, and awareness within our programs, departments and units. You can attend any part or all of the two days!
