Civic Engagement Initiatives, part of the Office of Community Outreach, will be hosting a voter advocacy workshop on October 4, 2023 from 12-1:30pm. Tanya Rhodes-Smith, MSW, the Director of the Nancy A. Humphreys Institute for Political Social Work, will be facilitating this workshop for student leaders at UConn.
We wlecome any students to RSVP for this workshiop, and welcome all participation, knowledge, and experiences. As a result of attending this workshop, students will learn:
- why voter turnout in local elections matters to the issues they care most about;
- how to dispel myths and misinformation about voting;
- and easy ways to inspire, register and support their peers to vote!
