The CAPS/SSS program is excited to announce that we will soon begin partnering with Knack to provide tutoring to our students. Knack is a peer-tutoring platform the allows students to book one-on-one tutoring sessions on demand.
As we await the official launch of the Knack app, we are looking for the help of faculty to recruit tutors. If you have a student who has received a B+ or higher in a course and you think they would be a good fit for tutoring, please let us know by filling out the Professor Recommendation Form. Once Knack has officially launched, these students will receive an invitation to join and earn a badge on their profile if they do, incentivizing our students to reach out to them for tutoring.
In order to start tutoring, students must complete Knack Tutor Training: The Basics, a 2-hour course built in partnership with the College Reading and Learning Association. Tutors are paid for their time ($15/hour).
