  • Recently Divorced Fathers Needed For Research

    Dear single dads,

Are you single-parenting a 6-18-year-old child? Are you divorced or separated during the past 3 years, or currently divorcing? You may be eligible to participate in our research study by letting us interview you!

We are doing a research study to develop useful web-based tools and resources to help divorced/separated parents. If this is successful, these tools and resources will make a positive impact in the parents’ and their children’s lives. We will share the results with policy-makers, government agencies, community centers, and the public. Our goal is to develop and test such tools and resources based on parents’ real experiences. The National Institute of Health is providing support for this study.

If you are eligible, you will participate in a 60-minute interview, either in-person (in a private office at UConn Stamford) or online from the comfort of your home!

    What to expect?

    1. You will answer a few questions to see if you are eligible to participate.

    2. If eligible, you can read more of the description about the study.

    3. If you want to help, you will agree to participate in the study by providing your signature.

    4. After signing, you will answer some questions and tell us your preference for the interview.

    5. We will contact you to schedule your interview.

You will receive $95.00 compensation for completing an interview with us.

Any personal information you provide is strictly protected – no one other than our research team at UConn will handle the data. Your name, address, and other identifying information will not be used for any other purpose. Whether you participate or not will not have any impacts on your relationships with the University of Connecticut. Please note that this study is not a Connecticut Judicial Branch research project and your level of participation will not be disclosed to the Judicial Branch.
