Since the start of school, construction for the new South Campus Residence Hall has resumed to the normal 8AM construction time. On occasion, we need to start construction early to allow for sufficient time to finish the concrete pouring of the slabs. With that said, we have a couple dates scheduled for the upcoming early starts of construction, for this very purpose.
EARLY concrete pour: SATURDAY SEPT 9, 2023 work will be taking place starting at 8AM
EARLY concrete pour: TUESDAY SEPT 12, 2023 work will be taking place starting at 5AM
The frequency of the concrete pours will be sporadic, but is required to get the remaining concrete pours completed for the project. Pouring of the concrete slab takes a very large crew covering a very large area, and the time to finish the concrete and allow it to set is the most time-consuming part, which takes most of the day and hours into the night. This is the reason they need to start as early as possible.
