BRANY IRB Information Session
Research Integrity & Compliance Services (RICS) will be hosting an informational Webinar for faculty, students and staff who conduct human subjects research. The aim of this session is to provide information on UConn’s engagement with a commercial Institutional Review Board (IRB), BRANY IRB. Representatives from RICS, HRP Consulting, and BRANY will review new processes and criteria for research that may be reviewed by BRANY IRB or the UConn IRB.

During the information session, compliance personnel will introduce the following topics related to the new commercial IRB processes:
- Introduction to BRANY staff and the commercial IRB process.
- Overview of criteria for research that will be reviewed by BRANY IRB.
- IRB application and review process with BRANY IRB. Learn about the BRANY IRB application submission, review, approval process, and timelines.
- Provide insight into the regulatory requirements and guidelines for research that is subject to BRANY IRB review.
- Q&A: opportunity to ask questions and receive feedback and advice from panel members regarding new processes.
