A Student-Centered Method for Teaching W Courses in STEM

In contrast to most W-courses, our pedagogy for ERTH 2050: Communicating Earth and Environmental Science involves using short weekly assignments that are easy to grade and have a quick turn-around times. We emphasize discrete writing tools: definitions, descriptions, reports, hypotheses, interpretations, audio-scripts, video storyboards, and website texts. The workshop will be in-person and the goal is to share our experience and seek input from others.
