UConn Health Study Investigates how Depression impacts aging biological processes.
Recruiting Men & Women ages 60 - 85
Men and women 60 - 85 years old who have no history of major depression or cognitive impairment are needed as control subjects. This study will investigate how depression negatively impacts the aging processes and brain function.
Participation involves:
6 visits to UConn Health
Blood draw
Interviews and evaluations
Testing of thinking & memory
One-time MRI brain scan
No cost for participation
Payment to participants includes up to $100 at completion of the baseline assessments and $70 at completion of the follow-up assessments every 6 months for 2 years for a total of $380.
