  • 7/11 Lauren St. Germain Joins CCEI's Next Timely Topics

One of the most powerful tools for an entrepreneur is being connected to the right resources when they are needed most. Timely Topics, a series hosted by the Connecticut Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, features panels of speakers, workshops to engage our entrepreneurs, and fire side chats with successful business leaders. These sessions are a way for CCEI to provide ongoing opportunities for students, faculty, and alumni entrepreneurs to learn, grow, and connect.

Professionals are burning out more than ever before, as a result of three main things: 1) societal and personal pressure to perform, accomplish, and generally do more, 2)  a belief that their self-worth is connected to their work identity and what they achieve, and 3) challenges in setting boundaries that honor their true capacity and desires for work and life. After recovering from career burnout and coaching nearly two dozen clients to transform the way they work and live, Lauren developed a framework to help ambitious professionals live as "whole human achievers," asking them to step into this new identity so they may achieve professional goals without sacrificing their wellbeing. Join in on this talk as we talk through the five pillars required to leave burnout behind for good, and live as a "whole human achiever."

Lauren St. Germain is a corporate leader turned life coach who specializes in helping burnt-out professionals honor their ambition without sacrificing their wellbeing. Lauren leads a community for high-achieving women with a mission to help its members leave burnout behind by breaking up with "hustle culture," seeing their worth beyond their work, and embracing the whole human within the high-achiever.
