As part of our ongoing efforts to ensure that each member of our university community, including UConn and UConn Health, has information and guidance to feel supported and to thrive, we are pleased to share that we are expanding our commitment to provide high-quality professional development resources for our faculty and staff through a new institutional-wide membership with Academic Impressions.
The Academic Impressions platform is specific to higher education audiences and provides:
- resources and training articles
- live and recorded webinars
- virtual conferences
Members of the UConn community participated in a pilot membership over the past year to ensure that the content was of value and aligned with the culture and mission of the University.
We encourage you to explore Academic Impressions by focusing on training and resources that may interest you. Several categories align with university priorities, denoted as “UConn Picks,” that focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion; student success; leadership development; and wellness, along with resources for faculty success on research, teaching, tenure, and mentoring.
We encourage employees to discuss professional development needs and opportunities with their direct supervisors. We hope that, over time, Academic Impressions will become a more integral and valued part of those discussions.
