  • Crisis Response Systems & LGBTQ+ Populations

The 988 Crisis Jam Learning Community offers a weekly forum for stakeholders to learn about best practices to apply to 988 and crisis system response optimization. Episode 122, LGBTQ+ Populations & 988, featured Angela Weeks, Project Director for the National SOGIE Center at SSW's Innovations Institute, who discussed the unique vulnerabilities experienced by LGBTQ+ people and the importance of providing safe, supportive, and tailored 988 and crisis services to this population. This episode follows the recent announcement from Vibrant Emotional Health that the 988 and Crisis Lifeline LGBQT+ pilot program is now available 24/7.
