This webinar will critically examine key political and legal aspects of the war in Ukraine and their implications for world order. More specifically, the panelists will address the continuing relevance of existing institutional arrangements for the maintenance of international peace and security in light of the ongoing conflict; the use of sanctions; the differential assessments of the political and legal aspects of the conflict between western countries and countries in the global south; and critical jus ad bellum, jus in bello and jus post bellum issues, including plausible accountability options for violations of international human rights and international humanitarian law norms and standards.
