April Vacation Program for Children

Celebrate the colors of spring and get ready for hands-on art making fun!
These workshops, designed for children ages 6-11, include a guided eye-spy tour, gallery scavenger hunt, and an art project.
Space is limited for each session and reservations are required; please contact: Mollie Sixsmith, Curator of Education, at 860-486-1711 or email mollie.sixsmith@uconn.edu to reserve your place.
$15 per student/class.
PAINT IT: SUMI-E Roll up your sleeves and get ready to try a new style of painting! Students will explore Sumi-e, the art of Japanese brush painting, as they use ink and long-handled brushes to create traditional bird, bamboo, and plum blossom compositions.
