I would like to extend my sincere appreciation and gratitude to Pamir Alpay for stepping in and serving so skillfully as interim VPRIE since February of last year. I am also especially grateful that we have so many outstanding researchers and scholars at UConn and UConn Health who understand the complexity of the research enterprise and can excel in this critical role. Given the strength of our own faculty, I have decided to make this an internal search open to current UConn and UConn Health faculty only, and external candidates will not be considered.
