Life Design: Wherever You Are Is A Great Place To Begin

    Monday, March 27th @ 12:00PM

    with Brooke Gemmell
    Design Technologist, Greenhouse Studios, UConn

Do you know exactly what you want to be when you grow up? Have you mapped out the right path to get there? Did you pick the perfect career for your dream life? Fret not, because for most people, those three "exactly right" things don't actually exist. "Life Design," popularized by Stanford's Bill Burnett & Dave Evans, helps you break through dysfunctional beliefs while teaching you the tools to build a life that you love. Employing principles of design thinking, life designers facilitate holistic development through a lens of self-efficacy and agency to support authentic personal growth.

Brooke Gemmell is a Design Technologist at UConn’s Greenhouse Studios, an interdisciplinary research unit which aims to reframe the workflows of collaborative scholarly production. Though she is trained as a designer & creative generalist, Brooke believes that her greater calling is in the development of the people around her and is wholly energized by the successes of her mentees and peers alike. She holds an M.A. in Digital Media & Design and a B.F.A. in Studio Arts.
