The Reading League Connecticut (TRL-CT), Decoding Dyslexia-CT, and the University of Connecticut -Waterbury are joining together to host a private screening of the documentary film, The Truth About Reading. The event takes place on March 9th. Doors open at 4:30 pm and the event starts promptly at 5:00 pm at the University of Connecticut Waterbury Campus, MPS Room, 1st Floor Main Campus Building, FREE PARKING.
This new, eye-opening documentary film from Emmy Award® winning director Nick Nanton, brings to light the illiteracy crisis in America, highlighting people who learned to read as adults and sharing proposed solutions for working towards a future where every child learns to read proficiently.
The film is free of charge and will be screened, by invitation only, with light refreshments and a Q&A following the showing.
