  • 2/28 Safe & Effective LGBTQ+ Data Collection

The National SOGIE Center of the School of Social Work's Innovations Institute has launched a learning community to hear from experts in the field on collecting sexual orientation and gender identity (SOGI) data in safe and effective ways to better serve LGBTQ+ populations. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in monthly discussions, quarterly office hours, and will get early access to helpful tools such as a self-assessment, tip sheets, and supervisor’s guides. The presentations offered through this learning community will provide guidance on creating affirming spaces, documenting SOGI in electronic medical records, navigating anti-LGBTQ+ climates, discussing SOGI with youth and families, organizational change efforts, and more. Learn more and register for the community!
