  • 2/28 Info Session: CCEI Summer Startup Accelerator

The Connecticut Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation has opened up the application for this year's Summer Fellowship Program! Summer Fellowship is UConn’s startup accelerator program and is an immersive entrepreneurial experience open to anyone affiliated with UConn (students, faculty, staff and alumni).

We’re holding a virtual info session for Summer Fellowship on February 28, 2023 from 5-6pm. If you’re interested in learning more, please RSVP here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/summer-fellowship-info-session-tickets-522242329867

The Summer Fellowship program takes place June through August and startup teams spend 3 days a week over 8 weeks taking a deep dive into their business with the support of mentors, industry experts, and experienced entrepreneurs. These sessions help educate program participants on how to define their business, build their brand, and launch their venture, all while building a community with the other entrepreneurs participating in the program. Each startup will also receive $15,000 in non diluted funding.

Summer Fellowship is CCEI’s flagship program and has prepared startups to launch their company, generate revenue, raise funding (grants, investments, etc.), and be accepted into next step opportunities such as incubators and accelerator programs.

The application deadline for the 2023 cohort is Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at 11:59pm. Find more information and apply here: http://ccei.uconn.edu/programs/summer-fellowship/

If your application is reviewed and you are selected as a finalist, you will be asked to present a short pitch on what your project or company idea is in front of a panel of judges who will be selecting which teams participate. This virtual team pitch is scheduled for March 29th, 2023.

This program is coordinated by the Connecticut Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation (CCEI) at UConn. CCEI was founded in 2007, and is a focal point for entrepreneurial activity within the University. CCEI supports student, faculty, staff, and alumni entrepreneurs across all academic departments, schools, and colleges. http://ccei.uconn.edu
