    In this session we will discuss best practice when creating PowerPoint presentations to ensure they are accessible.  The strategies we’ll cover are:

    • Establish Slide Layout
    • Ensure the reading order is accurate
    • Give every slide a unique title
    • Include captions for live presentations
    • Include captions for recorded video
    • Avoid animations and automatic slide transitions
    • Use true tables with headers
    • Add alt-text for images
    • Use descriptive hyperlinks
    • Use sans serif fonts such as Arial, Calibri, and Verdana
    • Use Accessibility Checkers in Office and HuskyCT (Blackboard Ally)
