In this session we will discuss best practice when creating Word documents to ensure they are accessible. The strategies we’ll cover are:
- Use headers for sematic structure
- Add alt-text for images
- Use descriptive hyperlinks
- Ensure adequate color contrast and don’t use only color to convey information
- Use sans serif fonts such as Arial, Calibri, and Verdana
- Use Accessibility Checkers in Office and HuskyCT (Blackboard Ally)
