  • 2/24 IT Accessibility for Graduate Students

This interactive online workshop designed by IT Accessibility Coordinator Karen Skudlarek provides graduate students with information on resources for increasing access to technology, such as captions, accessible Documents (Word), and leveraging Accessibility Checkers in Office and Blackboard (HuskyCT).  Improve your skills as a student and educator and become a member of a growing community of scholars committed to equity and accessibility.

Coordinated with Kimberly R. Bergendahl, Ph.D.
Associate Professor in Residence/CLAS Accessibility Faculty Fellow
    Department of Political Science

The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences has launched a program to allow its faculty and staff to develop resources to improve accessibility in the College around teaching and climate. This academic year, three faculty members have been awarded fellowships through the CLAS Accessibility Faculty Fellows Program to work on projects centered on advancing equity of access and inclusivity.  This workshop aligns with that commitment to advancing equity of access to technology and the ways in which technology may advance equity of access to information for graduate students in their respective programs.
