    Retirement of Legacy RefWorks

In the spring of 2023, Legacy RefWorks will be retired by the vendor. If you are still a user of Legacy RefWorks, you still have ample time to transition your data so as not to lose any references or files. You will need to upgrade to RefWorks, which is the current version of this citation management tool. Using the upgrade button in Legacy RefWorks will seamlessly transition your references and file attachments to the new platform. You can also upgrade documents created in Microsoft Word with RefWorks Citation Manager (RCM) or the older Write-n-Cite tool.

If you’ve already used the upgrade button and followed the steps to move the contents of your Legacy RefWorks account to RefWorks, you don’t need to do anything else. If you have not upgraded your account by the end of spring semester 2023, the library will upgrade your account for you. If you prefer not to use the new version of RefWorks, you can migrate your Legacy RefWorks references to another citation manager such as Zotero or Mendeley.

Who should I contact if I have questions?
