  • Important Information Regarding 2022 1095-C Form

The Office of the State Comptroller recently emailed correspondence to employees enrolled in State of Connecticut Health plans regarding 2022 1095-C forms.  This may have been sent to personal email addresses.  The sender is listed as “Care Compass: State of CT Benefits” from the email address “comptroller.scanlon@ct.gov”.  Please note that this is a legitimate email and contains information regarding the 2022 1095-C Form, which provides employees with information regarding health coverage offered by their employer.  This form is not needed for tax filing but should be retained with annual tax records.

Additionally, the email directs employees to sign into Core-CT to access their W-2 forms via a link provided in the email.  The University of Connecticut has implemented additional security measures for accessing systems, including Core-CT.  As such, UConn employees must sign into Core-CT by using the link provided on the Employee Self Service page located at Home | UConn Employee Self Service Portal.  This is the only method UConn employees should use to sign into Core-CT.

As the state will mail 2022 1095-C forms to employee addresses on file in Core-CT, active UConn employees can update their home address in Core-CT using self-service functionality.  Questions regarding address changes can be directed to the Payroll Help Desk at Payroll Help Desk | Payroll Department (uconn.edu).

Information regarding Core-CT, such as employee self-service, year-end tax documents and system access will be communicated by the Payroll Department and/or the Office of Human Resources via internal communications such as the Daily Digest, email and website updates.  Thank you for your understanding; we apologize for any confusion.
