    Target Audience:    Faculty, staff, residents, and students interested in clinical research.

    Objectives:  a) Describe major genetic factors which are associated with longevity and late life function;
    b) Describe major non-genetic factors which are associated with longevity and late life function; c) Gain familiarity with resources in aging research which are available at UCHC; d) Gain basic familiarity into major methodological issues and barriers to aging research; e) As a result of knowledge gained through Objectives #1-4, the participant will gain knowledge which will permit him/her to develop new collaborations in aging research and to submit more highly competitive grant applications

    Accreditation: The University of Connecticut School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

    The University of Connecticut School of Medicine designates this live educational activity for a maximum of 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
