  • Vacation Carryover

    Management and Confidential Employees

    As a reminder, in accordance with applicable policy, management and confidential employees with more than 60 vacation days must seek carryover approval from their manager and the appropriate Division Head (President, Provost, CFO) before the close of the calendar year. Under no circumstances are employees able to carryover more than 120 vacation days (the state limit). Approvals can be submitted through the Payroll Forms Upload Center after pay period ending 1/12/23 and must include the vacation overage as of the close of business on 12/31/22.

    UCPEA

    As a reminder, in accordance with Article 6 of the UCPEA contract, employees with more than 60 vacation days may seek approval for a one-time carryover from their manager and the appropriate Division Head (President, Provost, CFO) before the close of the calendar year. Employees who do not utilize their one-time carryover approval will forfeit any vacation days in excess of 60. Employees who have already used their one-time carryover approval will have their vacation balances reviewed and adjusted in accordance with the contract.  Approvals can be submitted through the Payroll Forms Upload Center after period ending 1/12/23 and must include the vacation overage as of the close of business on 12/31/22.
