  • Enrolling Female Participants for Exercise Study

    RESEARCH STUDY PARTICIPANTS WANTED to examine physiological responses associated with intermittent exercise in hot environments in the Department of Kinesiology at the University of Connecticut.   

    Purpose: to observe and measure responses to cooling interventions during a 10-minute break between intermittent exercise in a hot and humid environment.

     

    Eligibility requirements:

    1. Physically active (at least 30 minutes of exercise 3-5 days a week) female between the ages of 18-35 years

    2. Have a VO2max >40ml/kg/min

    4. Been cleared by the medical monitor for this study

     

    Participants will be eligible for monetary compensation.

     

    This research is conducted under the direction of Douglas Casa, a professor in the Department of Kinesiology (douglas.casa@uconn.edu)
