    Research Interests:

The Deshmukh Group develops and utilizes novel solution Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) methods to explore complex biological problems associated with proteins involved in HIV/AIDS, COVID-19, Alzheimer’s disease, diabetes, and signal transduction. The Group is especially interested in understanding the interplay between protein dynamics and function. It also seeks to detect and elucidate at atomic resolution short-lived states of biomolecules that are functionally important but are invisible to conventional biophysical techniques due to their transient nature.
