This workshop covers the basics of using UConn Library's discovery search as well as searching subject-specific databases on various platforms. Learn the best ways to limit your searches to identify resources that are most relevant to your subject. Content covered is multidisciplinary and includes:
- When to use discovery search
- When to use a subject-specific database
- Boolean searching (AND, OR, NOT)
- Wildcards and truncation
- Database thesauri and controlled vocabulary
- Other limiters
- Saving and exporting references from a database
