  • 10/3 Wolff New Venture Competition 2022

    You’re invited to the 2022 Wolff New Venture Competition! Watch live pitches by the top five UConn startups from the CCEI Summer Fellowship program as they pitch for a $25,000 cash prize!

     

    The featured startups were chosen on a basis of venture viability and value added to the market. At the event, each startup will pitch their venture and a panel of judges will decide which startup deserves the Wolff Prize and the $25,000 accompanying it.

     

    The 2022 Wolff New Venture Competition will be held on October 3, 2022, from 5-7:30pm at the UConn GBLC in Hartford, CT, with a livestream available as well. This event is open to the public.

    RiboDynamics

    Our enterprise aims to develop technology for the detection of pathogens in biological material based on the presence of specific RNA biomarkers. Having demonstrated the ability to detect salmonella, listeria, and E. coli in milk, as well as Zika virus in mosquitoes, RiboDynamics is now testing applications in human diagnostics of infectious diseases/conditions, such as sepsis, HIV-1, Hepatitis C, and Covid-19. Founders: Limin Deng, Post Doc, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences; Daniele Fabris, Faculty, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences
