The General Education Oversight Committee (GEOC) is seeking full-time faculty to serve on its content area and competency subcommittees. We anticipate a new Gen Ed curriculum to soon be fully approved, but we also need maintain the current one for the time being.
Subcommittee members do not need to attend full GEOC meetings. Most work can be done via email, and the time committment varies by area. There are no set terms. This is also an opportunity to be involved from the start once the new Gen Eds are official and we begin the transition.
Faculty from any discipline can serve on any subcommittee.
For now we have openings on the following subcommittees:
- Content Area 1 - Arts and Humanities (CA1)
- Content Area 2 - Social Sciences (CA2)
- Writing Competency (W) - *Multiple members needed from all disciplines*
- Second Language Competency
