DIY Captioning and Creating Accessible Digital Content
    Monday, August 1, 1:30-2:30
    Online
    Presenter: Margaret Ascenzo, CETL-EdTech

In this session, we will go over accessibility basics: captioning videos and making accessible documents. We will discuss best practice when captioning and will explore two applications (Kaltura and YouTube) that can be used to create closed captions for your videos. You will learn how to take advantage of computer-generated captioning and then learn how to edit captions to improve their accuracy. We’ll also explore tools that you can use to make your documents accessible such as tagging images, using styles in Microsoft Word, etc.
