A one-month extension has been granted to allow employees who are still in a HEP non-compliant status for 2021 to complete their requirements. Employees will now have until August 31, 2022 to become compliant and avoid financial penalty. Impacted employees will be sent a letter over the next week to ensure they are aware that they continue to be non-compliant. This extension is the result of a labor/management decision at the June 13, 2022 Healthcare Cost Containment Committee meeting.
Those who remain non-compliant after this date will have a HEP non-compliant row inserted on their Core-CT Health Benefits Page effective 9/1/2022. At that time, non-compliant employees will be subject to the $350 individual (up to $1400 per family) upfront deductible and they will pay an additional $100 per month in employee premium ($46.15 per bi-weekly pay period).
Employees should direct any questions regarding outstanding 2021 requirements to Care Management Solutions (CMSI), at 1-877-687-1448. They can also visit the HEP portal at www.cthep.com to see exactly which screenings or procedures are missing.
