Northeastern University is sponsoring the New England Future Faculty Workshop in partnership with the Harvard Medical School.
This year’s virtual workshop will be held on July 27th and 28th and prepares participants for entry into the academic job market through sessions on finding their institutional fit, developing research, teaching, and diversity statements, honing interview and negotiation skills, time management, and planning their first year as faculty.
The workshop was created to serve members of groups whose representation in faculty positions is smaller than their representation in the U.S. population. This includes women, racial and ethnic minorities, persons with disabilities, first-generation students, and members of the LGBTQ+ community. Interested Ph.D. students and postdoctoral scholars in STEM fields, the social sciences, humanities, and health sciences should apply by June 20, 2022.
