Universal Design for Learning (UDL) as an inclusive course design strategy
    Wednesday, June 15, 11:00-12:00
    Online
Presenters: Karen Skudlarek and Martina Rosenberg

Inclusive and equity-minded course design is shifting the emphasis from content delivery to creating learning experiences that meet learner needs, abilities, and interests.

This workshop examines the connection of course design with principles and Universal Design for Learning (UDL). We will focus on building flexibility and increasing accessibility into courses using these frameworks.

Attendees will have the opportunity to: 1) reflect on their role and assumptions when designing for instruction that recognizes learner variability as strength; 2) Locate a framework for course design and implementation decisions guided by UDL; 3) Identify opportunities in their teaching practice and articulate strategies to support of learner variability.
