Training and Professional Development

  • Fiscal Institute for Training - May/June Session

The UConn Fiscal Institute for Training (FIT) will be delivering two additional online training sessions this year in May/June and October.  Registration for the upcoming May/June session is on a ‘first come first serve’ basis for the first 30 respondents at https://uconn-storrs.sabacloud.com/Saba/Web_spf/NA1PRD0098/common/ledetail/cours000000000016893.

The goals of FIT include achieving compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations; improving UConn’s internal control environment; improving the efficiency of operations; and creating a tight-knit community/network of fiscal professionals.  Participants will attend informative and interactive sessions presented by subject matter experts from key fiscal and administrative business offices, noted below.

Participants must have access to a reliable device with audio/video capabilities (laptop/desktop/tablet) to participate.  All FIT sessions will be conducted online through Teams.  Attendance at all class sessions is required to receive a completion certificate.

Before registering and committing to the program, participants should understand that attendance is required for the duration of all 10 sessions.  While the cost for this training is free, a participant’s department could incur charges for missed attendance.  Additional information will be provided upon registration.
