At the end of April, our good friend and colleague Dr. Wesley Byerly is leaving his position as Associate Vice President for Research Integrity and Regulatory Affairs at UConn and UConn Health.
Wesley has accepted the position of Senior Associate Vice Chancellor for Research Administration at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. He begins his new role at the beginning of May, overseeing research administrator operations.
UConn will conduct a search for a new Associate Vice President for Research Integrity and Regulatory Affairs. An interim will be appointed to serve in the position in the meantime. We will announce the interim appointment soon.
Since 2015, Wesley has served UConn and the OVPR with diligence and professionalism, as well as good humor and warmth. We will miss him greatly and wish him the absolute best as he heads for the Volunteer State.
All are welcome to drop by and share a laugh and farewell with Wesley this Thursday, April 21. Please join us in the OVPR Executive Conference Room (L5053) at UConn Health from 3 – 5 p.m. to wish him well in his next endeavor.
Anyone who cannot make it to UConn Health but would still like to send Wesley a message can do so here.
