UConn Center for Land Use Education and Research (CLEAR):
Applications of geospatial science in Connecticut
Geospatial technology infuses virtually all of the work of the UConn Center for Land Use Education and Research (CLEAR). CLEAR was established in CAHNR in 2002 as an engagement oriented center, working with decision makers at the town and state levels on a host of land use planning and natural resource management issues. In this colloquium, faculty from CLEAR’s geospatial team will discuss the status of GIS in Connecticut and give examples of CLEAR projects, with an emphasis on the practical management uses of the Center’s geospatial datasets, online data viewers, and analytical tools. The colloquium will finish with a description of training programs and future initiatives.
