    About CLICC:

CLICC literacy and mentoring (https:///www.connectingfamilies.org) uses reading books and mentoring to increase communication and strengthen relationships between incarcerated parents and their children. Our goals are to reduce the recidivism rate for returning parents and ease the feelings of shame and stigma their children can experience.

A nonprofit, CLICC has worked in the Connecticut state prison system since 2014, in the federal prison in Danbury, Connecticut since 2018. Our mentors have provided continuous weekly support to children from across Connecticut throughout the pandemic.
