Master of Science in Clinical and Translational Research
A faculty development opportunity
The Master of Science in Clinical and Translational Research (MSCTR), offered through the Graduate School, provides a trans-disciplinary curriculum to clinicians to advance their careers and become successful independent investigators in clinical and translational research. Studies have shown that structured educational opportunities similar to the MSCTR successfully develop clinical and translational investigators to be competitive for extramural funding. The program focuses on the preparation of individuals with established, terminal degrees in a health related field (M.D., Ph.D., PharmD, DDS, DMD or DNP) to conduct independent research in translation of information from the basic sciences to the clinic and to the community.
Course Direction
The Masters Program is led by a team of investigators/educators – Cato Laurencin, M.D., Ph.D.; Howard Tennen, Ph.D.; Helen (Zhao) Wu, Ph.D.; Mark Litt, Ph.D., Angela Starkweather, Ph.D., ACNP-BC, FAAN; and Wendy Henderson, Ph.D., CRNP, FAASLD, FAAN.
