  • PDF Accessibility and Remediation Service

Are your PDFs accessible? PDFs are common file format that many of us use to share information on websites, via email, and in HuskyCT. Without proper design and structure, however, these PDFs might not be usable for everyone. With an accessible PDF, people with disabilities can use assistive technology, software, and devices to access the document.

The University strives to provide every person with equal opportunities to participate, and this includes digital content. To help our community meet ADA compliance, Information Technology Services (ITS) offers a service that identifies and remediates PDF accessibility issues. To engage our services, send an email to itaccessibility@uconn.edu for a cost and time estimate. If you are not interested in the service, you can use our self-help resources to remediate your PDFs.
