  • Enrolling Participants in Depression Study

    UConn Health Research Study Investigates How Depression Impacts Aging Biological Processes.

     

    Recruiting Men & Women ages 60 and older with Depression

     

    Men and women 60 years old and older who are diagnosed with and experiencing symptoms of depression are needed for this study to investigate how depression negatively impacts the aging processes and brain function.

     

    Participation involves:

     

    5-6 visits to UConn Health

    Blood draws

    Interviews and evaluations

    Testing of thinking & memory

    One-time MRI brain scan

    No cost for participation

     

    Payment to participants includes $70 at the completion of the baseline visit and $70 at the completion of each follow-up visit (6, 12, 18, 24 -month visits). In addition, subjects will receive $30 for completing the baseline brain MRI, for a total of up to $380 for the study.
