Research, Funding, and Awards

  • Outstanding Senior Women Achievement Award

The Provost’s Office and the Women’s Center annually sponsor the Outstanding Senior Women Academic Achievement Awards Ceremony, which recognizes women undergraduate and graduate students who have excelled academically within each school/college and demonstrated high achievement in research and service to the University community.

The Women’s Center and the Provost’s Office are requesting that the Graduate School identify one graduate student to receive this honor, outside of Social Work, Law, Medicine, and Dental Medicine, which will be handled by those schools respectively.  Undergraduate students are selected by the Deans of each school/college.

    Process for Graduate Students:

All graduate student nominations for students outside of Social Work, Law, Medicine, and Dental Medicine should be submitted at:

2022 Outstanding Senior Women Academic Achievement Awards - Graduate School Nomination

Please note self-nominations from students will not be accepted.  Dr. Holsinger will select the recipient from the Graduate School in consultation with a faculty committee.

SUBMISSIONS ARE DUE BY MARCH 4, 2022.

Eligible students are limited to those graduating in summer 2021, fall 2021 or spring 2022.

The awards ceremony will take place on Friday, May 6, 2022, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. location TBD.
