  • Free, Virtual Tax Return Service with VITA

    UConn Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) is offered through the School of Business Accounting Department, in partnership with The Village for Families and Children in Hartford. VITA offers free basic tax return preparation to qualified individuals, including:

    • people who generally make $66,000 or less,
    • the elderly and persons with disabilities, and
    • limited English-speaking taxpayers, including Foreign Students and Scholars.

    Our service this year is completely virtual!

    We are excited to announce that UConn VITA has teamed up with GetYourRefund.Org (GYR) to help you file your taxes online, still with the help of our own talented certified volunteers! GYR is a non-profit service built by Code for America in partnership with VITA sites nationally.
